I am back to share with you my layout for day three of my digital art a day challenge. I got a later start on my page today than I did yesterday. At this rate, tomorrow I’ll be making my page shortly before midnight.
For this page, I originally started to go with a “fly, fly away” theme. Lately, I have been in the mood to run away for just awhile. As I was looking for elements for my page I found the word art I used on my page and decided to do something else. Something more positive.
I used the Replace Color option a lot on this page to change the reds to a more purple-pink color. (I borrowed that color from one of the kids in Primary at my church.) The background was created by blending one paper on top of a very neutral background. I added a third paper to which I applied a layer mask in order to make the paper disappear. I then used a brush to make the portions of the paper I wanted to use reappear. The first elements I used on the page were the art doll and the butterfly wings I used to create the wings for the doll. I then added additional paints and elements until I the page had the artsy look I wanted.
Thank you for stopping by again today. I am really enjoying creating my pages for this challenge. I look forward to sharing more tomorrow.
Until next time, don’t forget to document your memories.
