I know I rarely post twice in a single day. I really don’t know if I have ever done so. But I have four new layouts that I really want to share and if I don’t do it today, I don’t know when I’ll have the chance. (Yes, I have been a very busy digiscrapper this week.)
This first new layout brings with it some exciting news. I am now part of Tracy Martin Designs creative team. I’ve been in love with Tracy Martin’s designs since her days at Funky Playground Designs, so I am really excited to be a part of her team.
For this layout, I wanted to create a more traditional page but still have an artsy feel. To accomplish this I layered several paint layers behind the photo and then combined it with more traditional elements like ribbon and torn paper. The layout was created using Documented from Tracy Martin Designs. The photo effect is a default preset in Lightroom 4.
This second layout for today was created as part of my work with the Crafty Button Designs creative team. Most of my layouts for Crafty Button Designs are digital art journaling layouts. I did a little something different this time.
With this layout I tried to go for a slightly more classic look. Using rich reds and browns combined with some blues and greens. And maybe a little less paint, but I still had to include some. I used a lot of different product from Crafty Button Designs, you can see the full credits here, including her latest releases Random Acts of Life Papers V5, Ephemera NY Edition V1 and Ephemera Paris Edition V1.
As I mentioned earlier this week, I am a guest member of the creative team at OScraps for the month of January. The next two layouts were created as part of my work for the creative team.
This next layout was created using the brand new collab at OScraps, mOving fOrward. With this page, I tried to stick to two main colors (green and brown) with a couple of additional colors throw in for interest. The background was created by blending a chevron patterned paper using Darker Color mode into the neutral colored background.
My final layout today was created for the January Web Inspiration Challenge at OScraps. The layout features my beautiful girl dog, Sazume. For this challenge, you were supposed to use either a specific color scheme or create a layout around the theme of “cozy”. Since I live in South Florida, I went with the color scheme. Because the colors for the layout are on the darker side, I chose elements that I hoped would give a slightly more feminine feel. The layout was created using Plum Autumn from My Little Happy Box (fka Fei Fei’s Stuff) and Curve It – Not 2 from Merkeley Designs.
That’s it for today. (Phew!) I plan to be back before Sunday to share a couple of more layouts. Maybe as soon as tomorrow. Until then, if you have been creative this week, link me up. I’d love to see what you’ve created.
(Note: I receive free product in return for creating layouts for Crafty Button Designs, Tracy Martin Designs, Merkeley Designs and OScraps.)
