One of my favorite things about living in South Florida is that it is green all year long. That means I also get to enjoy flowers that bloom all year. Since moving here, I have discovered one of my absolute favorite flowers, hibiscus. The blooms are so large and so colorful. I just love looking at them.
Currently, I have five different hibiscus plants in my front yard. (And there plans to add even more.) I thought it would be fun today to show off pictures I have taken of these flowers that I love so much. I think you’ll agree that these are just beautiful flowers. Do you love flowers in our front yard as much as I do? What are your favorite flowers? Leave me a comment and let me know what you love to have in your front yard.
Until next time, don’t forget to document your memories!
Lovely hibiscuses! Or hibiscii. Not sure how to make that plural. 🙂
I live in South Texas on the coast, and I also have a bunch of Hibiscus. We have some of the peach ones and a couple of different red ones. We had a yellow one, but lost it to a freak cold snap. I’m always surprised at how they start blooming more when it cools off. They don’t seem to like the extreme heat any more than I do, though it doesn’t hurt their leaves at all.
Theresa, it’s great to find another hibiscus fine! I don’t like the extreme heat either. I’m going to have to see if my hibiscus behave similarly.
gorgeous colors!
Thank you Bee!
The photos are so pretty and you are truly blessed to live in such a beautiful place! I loved the collection a lot!
Thank you, Richa! And I have to agree, that I am blessed to live here. Thank you for your coments.
Love those flowers, they are so full of life. My favourite hibiscus are the red ones and my favourite flowers are the daffodils.
Red hibiscus will be the next to be added to my front yard, Paula. As red is my favorite color. I just have to find the right blooms.
Hisbiscus flowers are so beautiful. I’ve had 2 hisbiscus bushes in my backyard for several years. Unfortunately they don’t bloom. 🙁
Jean, I am sorry you are having problems with your hibiscus. Have you tried using hibiscus specific fertilizer? I have found that it works best.
i would love to have a yard full of flowers 🙂 lucky u
Amar, I have to agree I am lucky to have so many hibiscus.
