I have to begin by admitting that I don’t remember taking this picture.  I was looking at the pics I took last week to see if anything struck me as something I was willing to call my photo of the week.  And that’s when I found this photo of the bougainvillea.  When I found it, I knew that this would be my photo.

I must have taken it last week when I grabbed my camera to take a picture of the hot air balloon that was driving every dog in the neighborhood insane at 7:30 in the morning.  Normally, my Sanosuke is not a barker.  Every other dog in the neighborhood will be barking and he is quiet.  But that hot air balloon got him going.  Alas, by the time I got to the front yard with my camera the balloon was too far away.  I must have snapped this photo on the way back in the house just to get a picture.  I’ll have to say I am pleased with the unplanned results.

I’ll have to say that this shot just confirms my love for my new lens.  It was definitely the right choice for my next lens.  Very pleased.
