Project 52 was a big success for me in 2012. I focused on pictures taken with my smartphone (Galaxy S II and Galaxy S III). I successfully took at least one picture a week last year. It such a great snapshot of our year that I am so glad I stuck with it for the entire year.
This year, I am once again doing Project 52. But this year, I will be working on stretching myself a little more. I have a membership at Clickin’ Moms. And I have joined their Project 52 group. Each week has a theme and I am going to work to take a picture that goes with the theme so that I am improving as a photographer.
That being said, I don’t know if my first photo actually fits the them of “New Year”. But I am actually very happy with the photo I took. I actually went back to one of the first places I took pictures when my Canon XS was brand new cause I love sunset photos and this place provides a great location.
This sunset photo was taken at Lake Okeechobee near Port Mayaca. If you enjoy a good sunset, this is a great place to go. I am pretty happy with the way this photo turned out. I hope you enjoy it as well.
The theme for week two is Silhouettes. I’ve never attempted to take a silhouette photo, so lets hope it turns out okay.
