See those cute little eggs to the left? Look at their faces. That is what I am feeling like right now. I’ve been trying to get the GIMP tutorial on getting started in digital scrapbooking going for a couple of days and all I want to do is hit my head against a wall. Admittedly, it’s been awhile since I last used Gimp. (I was still using Windows and I switched to a Mac almost two years ago.) But I shouldn’t be be running in to so many problems.
I’m not giving up, but I need a break. So I am going to go spend the afternoon with my husband and my mom. I will spend more time with Gimp this evening and hopefully I can get that tutorial going by Monday. That way, I don’t “crack”. lol
Hope all of y’all have a great Saturday!
I feel your frustration! I use Gimp but not much of it. I just get too confused so easily and I used to be fairly computer savvy but that one has me stumped a lot of the time. Good luck with your quest and I know you can do it! Cindy, visiting from Ultimate Blog Challenge on FB
I use Photoshop CS5 every day and love it. But trying to use GIMP after a two year hiatus is driving me nuts. So I can totally understand your frustration. Thanks for stopping by, Cindy.
Got to say that GIMP frustrates me too! Digital scrapbooking and cover design is definitely something difficult to wrap around!
Michelle, I love digital scrapbooking. But I normally use Photoshop CS5. I think I might switch to Photoshop Elements for the tutorial if GIMP continues to drive me insane.
I have never used Gimp, but it is good to walk away and come back with anything when you are frustrated. I love the picture of the eggs too, very cute
I totally agree, Rene. So it is off to lunch for me.
Hi Cindy,
I love the little egg expressions. We all feel like cracking when frustration sets in but I love how you are not giving up!! You are “determined” to figure out that program and I’m certain that you will!! It will be so “empowering” once you do and I’m sure that as a result you will also be able to help many people learn the program too!!
Healthy blessings,
Gena 🙂
IGena, I figured out my problem with a little help from the Gimp G+ community last nigh. Thank you for your comments.
I’ve never used Gimp, don’t even know what it is, but I share your frustration with trying to use computer programmes when you can’t remember or don’t know how they work. Ii hope you enjoyed your walk and get your Gimp sorted later 😀
Andrea, GIMP is free, open source software similar to Photoshop Elements. And I finally resolved the issue that was frustrating me so. Thank you for stopping by.
any reason for choosing GIMP? i always find it tough to use once you are used to windows. hopefully you decode your GIMP challenges soon 😀
I want to use GIMP, because it’s price of free means anyone can afford it. Photoshop Elements is a minimum of $50, even on Black Friday. And it was my graphics program of choice on Windows. And I have to admit that it is gratifying to get it working on the Mac.
Thank you Amar for your comments.
Oh, we’ve all been there. Get as many breaks as you need.
Sherrie, thanks for your comments. I appreciate your stopping by.
