On August 18, David & I celebrated our 12th anniversary. David and I have been blessed with a marriage filled with love. And we enjoy spending as much time together as possible. And I think that this is a great reason to celebrate.
We actually began our celebration on the Thursday before our anniversary by enjoying part of David’s anniversary gift, a night out watching RiffTrax Live: Starship Troopers. It was absolutely hilarious. Definitely a great way to start off our anniversary weekend. Then on Saturday, we headed to Melbourne, Florida to spend the night and have dinner at The Melting Pot. The next morning we had breakfast at the LaQuinta Inn where stayed (so we could take the dogs with us) and then we headed back home. Even though we only spent one night away, it was a great break for us.
There is nothing I love more than creating layouts about David. Or in this case, David & I, so I created not one layout but two about our anniversary.
The first layout I created was about the selfie I took of David & I. Not an easy shot for two people so disparate in height. This layout was created using Tiny Arrows #1, Antique Flowers, Antique Papers, Antique Elements, JC Blanks #1 (recolored), It’s a Lovely Day, Making Memories Papers and Layer It #1 from Merkeley Designs.
The second layout is one I just finished yesterday. This one shows off a few more photos from our anniversary weekend. I created this layout using Country Life Warms, Country Life Cools, Country Life Solids, Country Life Elements, Country Life Alpha 1, Country Life Alpha 2, Paint Art 8, Paint Art 9, Paint Art 10 and In Triplicate from Michelle Batton Designs.
BTW, did you know that you can get both the alphas I used in this layout for free. To get the Country Life Alpha 1 (the multicolored alpha), “Like” Michelle Batton’s fan page on Facebook. You can get Country Life Alpha 2 (the stamped alpha) by signing up for Michelle’s newsletter. She’ll be sending out a link for the alpha later this month.
(Full Disclosure: I am the creative teams for both Merkeley Designs and Michelle Batton Designs.)
I hope you have enjoyed this little peak in to our anniversary celebration. Leave me a comment and let me know how you celebrated your last anniversary.
