I am certain I am not the only one who loves the idea of scarves but has no idea how to make them look good. Saturday, I was out shopping for a top to wear and one of the ones I tried on included a scarf as part of the top. Well after spending a few minutes in the dressing room and not coming up with a single way to make the scarf look good, I said “forget it”. I even have a scarf that I purchased for St. Patrick’s day that has never been worn cause I couldn’t figure out what to do with it. There. The truth is out!
My wonderful hubby suggested I see what was on YouTube. I thought that was a great idea. But of course, I forgot about it before I even got home. (Yea, I am forgetful. lol) David on the other hand remembers everything. So last night, he sent me a video that is less than 5 minutes long with 25 different ways to wear a scarf.
The video is from Wendy’s Lookbook, who does fashion videos on YouTube. Not only is the video informative, but it is also well done. And when you get to the end, you can click on individual scarfs to get more detailed instructions. This video is exactly what I needed, so I wanted to share it with you as well.
I hope you found the video helpful. If you have any other great sites for scarf ideas. Hook me up. I am the most boring dresser in the world and am looking to shake things up.
This is great, Cindy! I thought that I was the world’s most boring dresser. This video will help. I LOVE scarves but am not really sure how to wear them. THANKS!
Your welcome! Glad I could help. (I’m afraid, you will never be able to move into the top spot for boring dressers. I have it claimed permanently. lol)
Hi Cindy. This video is very helpful because I’m completely hopeless at scarf tying. The best I ca do is to wrap it loosely around my neck a few times and I end up looking like a snowman! But I love scarves so now I’ll try some of these hints. 🙂 Visiting you form UBC. Hope you have a great week.
Thanks for your comments, Veronica. And I totally understand how you feel. But I already tried a couple of the ideas today and I managed to make them work. :O)
I love that video! I needed it Saturday when I was struggling with a scarf. 🙂 My scarf horde thanks you as well. They might actually get out of the drawer for a change.
Visiting you from the UBC blogboost on G+.
Thanks for your comments, Theresa. Since viewing the video I now feel like I can acquire my own scarf horde.
Lol Cindy, GREAT POST!!!
I don’t even own one because they make no sense to me. Thanks for this video and thanks to hubby for remembering.
Thanks again

Thanks for your comments, Alishia. And I’ll pass along your thanks to my dh as well.
What a great find! And what a great husband!
I too love scarves and have 2 or 3 ways to wear them. I find that they tend to get bulky and drive me crazy when I go outside what I’m comfortable with. Recently I discovered that different materials can really affect how they look when tied so try lots and see how each looks tied differently. It’s fun!
I agree on both accounts, Bonnie. I will mostly go for looks that work with light scarves. After all, this is South Florida.
I don’t really like things around my neck, so don’t think I’ll be trying any of these out anytime soon, yet I found myself mesmerized by the wonderful videography LOL very catchy!
I totally agree about the videography, Michelle. They did a great job with it.
Hi Cindy. Great post. I too am scarf-tying-challenged, so this video will really help. Thanks for sharing.
Jean, I am glad to be able to help others like me.
