I Love Paint on my Layouts

I love paint on my layouts!  Okay, I really love digital paint on my layouts.  I get to use all kinds of fun paint and there is no mess to clean up afterwards.  That is my kind of fun.

It is rare that a layout does not get some paint added.  I use both ABR files (brush files that can be used in both Photoshop and Gimp, other programs may use them as well) and PNG files (work in just about any program).  It doesn’t matter to me as long as it is paint.  Admittedly, ABR brushes files are more versatile, but if I love the PNG files I will use them.  Just so I can get me some paint action going.  I just gotta have it.

Today, I have three layouts to share with you.  Only one of them is what I would call digital art journaling.  But all three of them have plenty of paint.  I use paint from a variety of digital designers.  For the below layouts I use paint from Crafty Button Designs, Val C Designs and Michelle Godin.

This first layout is just a bit of Halloween fun for me and is my digital art journaling layout for the day.  I LOVE Halloween, but we don’t have children and our neighborhood gets zero trick or treaters.  (I think it’s cause the houses are too far apart and there aren’t a lot of young children in the neighborhood.)  So this layout is my chance to celebrate.

You can see most of the paint on this page behind both the tree and the haunted house. Although there is paint in various locations on the page with a good bit being located behind the cobweb in the upper right-hand corner.

This next layout was created for the Trend Watch Challenge 10/7 at The LilyPad.  The challenge itself was to use stitching, of which I used plenty.  (Digital of course.  If I had to actually sew, there would be nary a stitch.)  But that didn’t stop me from using plenty of paint.  As you can see, I got pretty crazy with the paint.  With all the bright colors, I just couldn’t help myself.

My final layout for today was created for the ValC Designs’ Be Inspired October challenge at OScraps.  For this layout, I chose a paper that already had a very painted look to it, but I have added paint around the edges and in the areas closest to the photo and papers.
