It’s been awhile since I just posted some of my favorite layouts on the blog. (Not that I don’t like every page that I create, but some stand out to me more than others.) I decided today would be a great time to do just that. I have a couple of layouts I have been really pleased with lately and I want to share them with you. (Okay maybe it’s more like four. lol)
This first layout, No Doubt! Every Day!, contains my favorite subject matter, my husband. I think just having him on the page qualifies it as a favorite. Apart from seeing my sweetie on the page, I love the combination of the black & white photo with all the color I was able to use thanks to the Life in Color Bundle from Val C Designs and Vicki Stegall. This bundle is absolutely filled with color and that makes me so happy. In fact, I find it hard to create if I can’t use lots of colors, so this collab was perfect for me.
Next up is Life Together is Good which features a selfie of myself with my husband. We took this photo a couple of weeks ago when we were out doing a small nature walk. I am just so happy with the way the photo turned out. It’s hard getting pictures of the two of us and rarely do selfies turn out this well. But I am in love with the photo, so I really wanted to show it off. I really made use of papers to draw attention to the photo. There’s a lot less paint than I normally use (see the layout above), but I am really happy with this page. The page was created with Cozy Times, Cozy Times Textured Solids Newsletter Freebie and Cozy Times Add-on Facebook Freebie from Tracy Martin Scrapbook Designs.
It’s time to take a look at a recent art journaling page. I Want to Fly is a visual representation of how I have been feeling lately. I have just been feeling like I personally am just not moving in a direction that makes me happy. This layout was created to describe how I feel. I love the bright colors and all the butterflies included on the page. I am a huge butterfly fan, so I love using them whenever I can. I also love the colorful background I created for the page using multiple papers from Crafty Button Designs. Everything on this page is from Crafty Button Designs’ Metamorphosis Bundle. Just the name of the bundle made the collection perfect for this layout.
My last layout is another page featuring my husband. Creating His Own Path was created for the November Yum-O challenge that I am hosting at Oscraps this month. The picture for this page was taken on the same nature walk I mentioned earlier in this post. I think the colors of the Vibrant Autumn designer collab from the Oscraps designers works so well with these photos. Normally, I have a hard time using Autumn themed kits because the only colors that change in South Florida are the colors of the license plates. :O) But the lighter colors of Vibrant Autumn make it much easier to use. This may be my favorite Autumn kit of all time. In addition to Vibrant Autumn, I also used Button It and Curve It from Merkeley Designs and Brushed Gold Alpha and Lemondrop Paints & Words from Tracy Martin Scrapbook Designs.
That is it for today. Until next time, don’t forget to document your memories!
