David and I were pondering a purchase of Photoshop CS5 for business reasons when we had the chance to pickup Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Web Premium for half price.  This is what we had wanted to get when we were looking at Photoshop CS5, but it was out of our budget.  And then we got a big break and were able to get it.  Included in Web Premium is Photoshop CS 5.1.

So for the last several days, I’ve been working on just getting a hang on how it differs from both PSE 10 and Gimp 2.6.  I created the new header for this blog.  (Not great, but it was the very first thing I created and as I get better, this entire site will get a new look.)  And after some more experimentation, I created my first digiscrapping layout.

This layout was created for Prompt 8 of the Me: A to Z Workshop from Michelle Batton.  Now I am only seven prompts behind! But at least I am started finally. lol  The kit I used was the Letter P kit from Michelle Batton that is currently available for everyone participating in the challenge.

I’ll have to say that I am pretty happy with the way this finally turned out.  And I am really glad that I chose to go with a two-page spread.  Now I am not staring at rinky-dinky photos of my beloved furry and feathered babies.

As I said this was my first layout using Photoshop CS5.  I think it came out pretty well.  I am excited to start my next project.  Just have to decide if that will be another layout or maybe something else.
