Today’s post was inspired by a couple of things.  One was this scripture from Number 6:24 – 26 that was posted on a friend’s Facebook wall.

Numbers 6:24-26

The other piece of inspiration actually came first. During Sacrament Meeting today. one of the Elders played a beautiful version of Be Still My Soul.  The two pieces of inspiration reminded me of one very important thing.  The best way to find peace is to look to Christ.

I know that there are days, sometimes months, when it is so hard to find peace.  It seems that no matter what we try, there is no peace to be found.  Perhaps the problem is where our search for happiness taking us.  Are we looking to Christ to find happiness?  Or are we looking to jobs, recognition from the world or material success for happiness?  Sure we may find moments of happiness in these areas.  But it won’t be lasting.  If we want to find lasting peace, we need to look to the source of true happiness which is Jesus Christ.

Before I go, I want to share with you a beautiful version of Be Still My Soul sung by David Archuletta for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

I hope in the week ahead you are able to find a few moments of peace to make your week better.
