After a multi-year stint using Squarespace as my blog host, I am back to using a self-hosted WordPress blog. There were a lot of things I really liked about Squarespace. However, their galleries for Squarespace 6 just did not meet my needs. The galleries were definitely designed for landscape images and as a digiscrapper, I post a lot of square images. Also, they only had one theme with a gallery that allowed me to post credits, which was very limiting. So I decided to give WordPress another go.
I have to say I am very happy with the look of my new blog. I am using an Elegant Themes blog theme and after trying several different themes, over a period of months, I finally found the one that is right for me. And it has been very easy to setup. I am really excited to be back to blogging.
I’ll be back tomorrow morning to share with you my new digiscrapping project for September. I think it is going to be a fun one for me. And a great way to share more of me with y’all and future generations.
