I think y’all might have been wondering if y’all were ever going to see another layout from me.  I realize it has been months since I posted a new layout.  But I am going to do better.  Being the owner of Funky Playground Designs takes more time than I had imagined even as a Site Admin.  But you know what?  I still want to be a scrapper too.  I still believe it is important to document your memories.  So I need to get back to doing just that.

And today, I have a new layout to share with you.  This picture of my mom and  I was taken in November when we went to Texas for Thanksgiving.  And this photo means more to me than you may realize.  In January of last year, my mom had a major stroke.  So to even have the opportunity to have my husband take the picture was awesome.

I created the layout using Merkeley Designs’ new kit Fresh Thoughts.  As soon as I saw the kit, I knew I had to use it to scrap this photo.  The colors reflect so perfectly how I feel about this photo.

I appreciate your taking the time to check out my new layout.  This is going to be the start of more regular posts from me.  I’ve been taking lots of pictures this year, so it is time for me to start scrapping.
