800px-1920_census_Kennedy_CarrAbout two weeks ago, I began working on the LDS Church’s Family Search Indexing project. The project is to extract information from old records so that people working on their genealogy or family history can use this information in their search. I’ve only done about 200 names, but I just find the little bit of information I see so fascinating. I wish I knew more about all of these people. I wonder about the poor mother who has had so many children die or why a woman was still single in to her late 20s. (Remember these are old records, so it would have been odd for the time.) Anyway, I really do find it very interesting.

By the way, you don’t have to be LDS to take part. So, if this sounds like something you would be interested in doing, please visit the Family Search Indexing website.
