Not sure how many of you remember the browser wars in the 90s. Netscape vs Internet Explorer. Even if you missed the war, I am sure you realize who won that battle. Although I sure wish the victory had gone to Netscape. But with dial-up download speeds making the downloading of Netscape extremely slow and Internet Explorer being included in the Windows OS, it’s no wonder the victory went to Internet Explorer.
Today, we have lots of choice when it comes to browsers and Internet Explorer is no longer top dog. According to W3Schools.com, it’s actually in 3rd place now behind both Google Chrome and Firefox. Opera is another great browser that just does not get the attention it deserves. Lots of Mac users swear by Safari. (As a Mac user, I admit it has some good features but it’s still not my go to browser.)
I’ve used all the browsers mentioned in this post and more. Anyone remember RockMelt? Since I have been watching the browser wars for so long, I decided to find out which browser you prefer. This poll is just for fur and is one simple question. So please take my one question poll and share with me your favorite browser. I tend to use google more because it’s already attached to several accounts but I also like Bing.
I use Google Chrome, but it annoying me at the moment. I prefer searching in google.com and co.uk and I set my home page to google.co.uk
Sometimes it takes me to google.es and gives me the menu in Spanish and I want them in English. I am sure if I spend searching and sorting it will be fine, haven’t done it yet. Don’t know why it misses the languages as I have it set to English UK
I’ve used them all but I mainly stick to Firefox. Google Chrome comes in second for me which I use when I don’t want to log out of my Google account to check something in any of my other accounts.
Chrome I find uses much more resources than Firefox. It never used to be that way all the time and at one point I used Chrome exclusively.
IE is a big no for me. But i still find websites which are only supported by IE so i have to use it. But mozila is my favorite browser
