Gratitude - Henry Ward Beecher

Gratitude is so beautiful, but sometimes it is so hard.  It is so easy to become blinded by our daily struggles that it becomes almost impossible to see our blessings.  In fact, I really struggled during November with this challenge.  But I think it was worth the effort.  That is why I like the above quote from Henry Ward Beecher.  I really do think focusing on our blessings can add beauty to our world.

Today, I am sharing my final Facebook gratitude posts from the months of November.  This is the third or fourth year I’ve participated in 30 Days of Gratitude. And even though I struggled with it more this year than in any other, I am still glad I participated.

  • Day 23:  I am thankful for a home to live in and a pillow where I can lay my head.
  • Day 24:  I am thankful for the power of prayer.
  • Day 25:  I am grateful for clothing to wear and shoes for my feet.
  • Day 26:  I am grateful for sleep. Even though I am not sleeping right now.
  • Day 27:  I am grateful for the little happy surprises life sometimes brings.
  • Day 28:  I am grateful that I finally got to start listening to Christmas music. I love Christmas music!
  • Day 29:  David is getting one final mention this month. I am grateful for a husband who is willing to do things with me that he does not find fun. (Shopping.)
  • Day 30:  I am grateful that today is the final day of hurricane season. Having experienced three, I am always grateful when another season passes without a hit.

I think I may do a few art journal layouts to help me remember every day all the things for which I am grateful.  November isn’t the only month where we should remember to be grateful.  Don’t you agree?  If so, please leave me a comment and share one thing for which you are grateful.

Until next time, don’t forget to document your memories.
